YEVON. The most ancient organization in Spira, the religion of Yevon guided the world with absolute power for almost a full thousand years until it was utterly disgraced two years ago when High Summoner Yuna and her Guardians destroyed the demonic beast known as Sin. At the time, the people of Spira had been promised that Sin had been destroyed forever, and so Yevon's popularity quickly fell as the many lies of the church were exposed. However, it is hard to so easily throw aside the religion that people have lived with for centuries, and thus many still hold on to little remnants of their old faith; for example, Yevon’s Prayer and the phrase “Praise be to Yevon” is still quite common, particularly among the older folk. Even though the institution of Yevon has mostly fallen, many people across Spira still hold true to Yevon, and many are trying to organize Yevon for a rebirth….
