Yevon
Non Serviam
Virtue
Once the mighiest, most absolute power in all of Spira, Yevon was utterly disgraced two years ago when High Summoner Yuna and her Guardians destroyed Sin. At the time, the people of Spira had been promised that Sin had been destroyed forever, and so Yevon's popularity quickly fell. However, it is hard to so easily throw aside the religion that your people have lived with for nearly a thousand years, and many people still hold on to little remnants of their old faith; for example, the phrase “Praise be to Yevon” is still quite common, particularly among the older folk. Even though the institution of Yevon has mostly fallen, many people across Spira still hold true to Yevon, and many are trying to organize Yevon for a rebirth….
Non Serviam
After a thousand years of absolute Yevon domination, there are also a great group of people who are extremely glad to see Yevon’s power fall. When Yevon was essentially overthrown with Sin’s defeat, many people got together to form the new ruling organization of Spira. Though there are many facets to Non Serviam, they generally look to High Summoner Yuna as their leader and figurehead. Thanks to Yevon’s downfall, they are generally looked upon as the greatest leading force in all of Spira, even though some loyalty to Yevon remains….
Virtue
While those still loyal to Yevon, or those who vigorously oppose it, remain devoutly steadfast in their beliefs, there does exist a third, neutral group. Neither supporting or opposing Yevon or Non Serviam, they instead merely seek for peace to finally settle in Spira. Truthfully, though, “Virtue” is merely a name that has become popular, and as of now they are not really an organized group. Spirans who chose to take neither side in the factional conflict in Spira are generally considered to be "members" of Virtue.
