I kinda sorta want to get Reeve a golem of some sort. But, here's the kicker: that definitely falls under the 'trainer' class of abilities. Normally I'd refrain and go develop him in some different direction but I've been browsing profiles and some profiles have abilities that are pretty epically strong. One even had a Ribbon-like ability - which, normally, would have required you to go through the ENTIRE slew of white mage abilities before you could even hope to grab it.
So, where exactly is the line drawn?

This is my personal view on it. With a magic slot, you can do anything. Anything! As long as it's not god-mode-y or too powerful. And if you want to waste a slot on just ganking another class's ability (given that class abilities are MUCH cheaper than magic slots), fire away.
At the same time, I don't want to restrict people from doing what they want because of classes. The Magic Slots are there for you to make your character your own and get them as close to what you want as possible. So I've got no problem with you giving him a golem-type ability, BUT, it'll need to be dealt with entirely with magic slots, which are MUCH more expensive than class abilities.
Hope that clears things up ^_~
