He was rather high up. Well no, not that he was high up, it just seemed that way where he was sitting. Aure Tamona sat quietly on an outcrop of rocks, looking down over the road. His perch was only about twenty feet off the ground, with a gentle slope leading to the peak all around. The only part with sheer cliff was the part he was standing at. He was a Dragoon, so he wasn’t really afraid of heights, even if he wasn’t wearing his armor at this time. His armor, as well as his polearm, were both sitting in a wagon in the long train of the caravan that was passing below. It was one of his father’s caravans, travelling with some goods between Bevelle and Luca. It was a long trip, that was why Aure volunteered to lead the caravan, looking for time away from the stuffy confines of the Tamona mansion in Bevelle.
The Dragoon breathed deeply, enjoying the higher altitude. The air was easier to breath up here, clean and peaceful. There was no dust from the road below, there weren’t many who came up here so the ground itself was untampered with, no tracks, very little desecration of the land. There had been a battered and beaten trail leading to the perch, but it was so ingrown that Aure had lost track of it many times as he worked his way up. Now that he was up there it didn’t matter, though, as he’d easily be able to find his way down.
This was one of the few times Aure let himself smile, his normally calculated exterior pushed aside since he had privacy. Any who looked up at him would simply see his blond hair and dark coat, not his features, nor his expression. He was alone, he was enjoying some solitude and it was rather nice. He sat down, watching the caravan as he let his feet dangle out over, carefully adjusting his sword so that it didn’t catch on the rocky outcrop and push him off. He leaned back, looking up at the sky and watching the clouds go by. It was so beautiful; he rarely had time to enjoy the blue sky, the crisp clouds, the beaming sun or the warm wind of the wide world. It was a good day, he was glad he had taken leave from Bevelle.

On the other hand, for someone down on the same level as the caravan, there was dust galore. Tracks that were engraved into the ground from all of the many carts and different vehicles that traveled the land, that used this road.
For one such as Jamie, being down here was not too fun.
The dust started to sting her eyes. Poor, poor Jamie. Coughing and sputtering as she tried to follow behind, careful not to lose the caravan. She had no idea who these people were, where it was going. She didn't even know where she was going. So it was probably better that she follow instead of get even more lost. But she was beginning to wonder if it was worth it.
Her little foot stepped down into an indentation in the ground, a small hole created by the wear and tear of all of the passing things throughout the years. Her arms flailed in the air as she felt herself being pulled to the earth. "Nyyyyaaaooo!!"
This took her by surprise. The falling, the dust, the way the caravan just kept going, not even stopping to see if poor Jamie was okay. She just lay there, on the ground, dusty and dirty, perhaps in a bit of a daze.
Poor, poor innocent Jamie~
