Personality
Hyde is a rather odd individual. He has knowledge and experience of Spira itself but no context to link it to. When calling upon his memories he pulls out the blank book he has and looks through the pages as if the words are actually there. He is a victim of laser-guided amnesia in every sense of the word and is generally oblivious to things about Spira giving him the aura of an air-headed child. He is child-like in a lot of his manner, he is extremely innocent and tends to bring out the good in even the darkest of people using his objective views of the world to get into your head and understand you. It's also creepy how he does it, since he can do it so quickly he can instantly tell what you want and what you're about to do just by watching you for five minutes. Hyde is a rather happy, yet quiet person who shies away from the main conversation in lieu of reading a book or fiddling with random things as per his Al Bhed nature.
Funnily enough, as a half Al Bhed, Hyde has a great gift for technology. Unfortunately, this gift manifests as Hyde being able to completely destroy a piece of technology without even trying. This brings him an untold amount of sorrow as Hyde truly wishes to do more technological things like his brethren but knows that he never will. Yet despite this, he is patient and hopes that one day he will be able to touch a machina without it just happening to complete break down and explode. Despite being built yesterday.
If you approach Hyde he will easily talk to you and help solve your problems. He's inherently empathetic and willing to help by any means necessary, and despite not being in any relationship he has an astounding knowledge of love and how to get laid. Approach him romantically and he will collapse into a blubbering mass of shyness and stuttered phrases, but spend enough time to break through his shell and you will find a very affectionate, loyal, and romantic man.
An odd quality about Hyde is that he tends to make jokes and fun of people a lot once he figures them out. He knows how to humiliate you quite easily without lifting a finger just by pushing your mental buttons. He even does this in fights to mess with his opponents, as Hyde himself is just too plain oblivious to fall to insults. A last odd quirk involves his memory. Hyde has no clue who any of his family is, and tends to mistake almost anyone for a distant cousin or even a close relative. He even believes that Yuna is his sister and that they both have a sort of crazed amnesia that prevents them from remembering each other. In reality, this is just Hyde being a little bit dumb.
Appearance
Here he be!
Height: 6 feet
Weight: Only 180 pounds
Build: You'd expect to find a geeky or at most, slightly athletic physique on Hyde. You'd be wrong. He is completely toned with a 6-pack made of steel, but when he flexes his muscles people tend to wonder how much muscle training he really does.
Skin Colour: Very light brown
Hair Style: Short and messy, flopping downwards.
Hair Colour: Silver
Eye Colour: Gold
Clothing: Hyde can always be found in the same outfit, as he keeps it immaculately clean and repairs it constantly. Although perhaps because of needing to repair it constantly it has taken on a multi-colored and haphazard appearance. It is very traditional in appearance, somewhat like a Summoner garb, with an emblem Hyde himself doesn't understand sewn onto the ends of his top. Underneath his top he wears a thin gray shirt that extends all the way to his wrist, and a black choker that he knows is significant, but has no clue why.
Weapons
His fists, and nothing else.
Armour
His skin, guts, and willpower, which do better than even any enchanted armor could do.
Items
A blank book, along with his pouch that stores other books.
Anti-Allergy Glasses: Hyde's glasses have a very odd enchantment, supposedly to help Hyde with his allergies. They half the effects of all status ailments and their duration. An example is the Darkness ailment. Rather than have his accuracy drop to 0%, it drops to 50% meaning Hyde still has a half chance to land a blow. Poison does half damage, and Sleep makes Hyde "Half-Sleepy" where he can only randomly swing his fist around and magic will wake him up. He has a 50% chance to ignore Petrify, but if Petrified he takes the full effect. Zombie is unchanged, as it's hard to become half-dead. Silence becomes Low Volume, and he can still cast spells although they now have double the cooldown.

Custom Abilities
Taking the Punches: Hyde has unrivaled defense and constitution that actually scares most people seeing as how he can survive blows to the head, falling off a cliff, getting run over by a vehicle and even a severe beating from a machina and still survive. His defense is so high, he will never need armor against bladed weapons as he cannot be physically cut while fighting. Stab him, slash him, throw fireballs, lightning and whatever at him all you like, Hyde will not show the damage. Instead everything is converted to physical force, and Hyde can take about 5 cannon rounds to the head worth of force before finally being knocked out. Note: This acts like a constant shell/protect effect on Hyde all the time without actually being Shell and Protect so he can still have those buffs applied to him. This is why he still only takes physical force as opposed to logically burning to death if he takes a fireball to the face.
Bringing the PAIN: Another feature of Hyde's strange body is his physical strength. He has enough lifting strength to go head to head with a Behemoth in a wrestling match, and when concentrated this results in punches that ignore all defenses (including armor, tough hides, forcefields, the Protect spell name it and he will break it) and still have the power to send an opponent flying. If Hyde ever grabs an opponent and grapples with them, there is nothing they can do as Hyde's strength can easily break their arms or legs. Unfortunately, Hyde's range is extremely limited as he can only use his hands, so if an opponent can continue to run away Hyde can't really do much. Note: Those with similar superhuman abilities or armor still cannot ignore Hyde's punches. Though your armor or constitution will reduce the damage, taking a punch is an incredibly dumb idea as the damage still applied is similar to a prized boxer striking at full power while you're naked. This still has the power to completely shatter the ribcage and break bones.
Closing In, Violently: Of course, Hyde has prepared for this. Utilizing his freakish strength, he can achieve speeds and feats of movement that, once again, scares people. He can scale smooth buildings with relatively no problem (He leaves marks in the walls though considering he claws his way up) jump several meters into the air, and run in ways that defy gravity so long as he continues to move (such as running along walls). Most of all though, Hyde can concentrate his strength into a burst of power that allows him to end up right next to his opponent once every two posts.
Rage111: Probably Hyde's scariest ability, something he prefers to keep locked away. In a fight, Hyde must still keep control of himself to keep from killing his opponent and try not to succumb to the mysterious rage and power he feels inside himself. Every post he gains 1 Rage Point (only in battle) and can gain up to a maximum of 100. Landing a blow, even if it is blocked (ESPECIALLY if it is blocked) will increase his rage proportional to the damage done. Minor blows add 1 point, medium blows add 2 and major hits at 3. If it is blocked, he gains double the points. Evading an attack adds 2 points, and blocking blows also adds points. Minor = 2 points, medium = 4, and major = 8. Taking a hit doubles the points. With admin permission Hyde can also gain rage from special triggers depending on what his opponents do, like taking a hostage for example. By consuming his rage, Hyde can unleash one of a few techniques:
Stare of Rage: Consumes 15 rage. Hyde stares menacingly at his opponent, inflicting them with a random status effect.
Roar of Rage: Consumes 30 rage. Hyde roars like a Lion causing everyone in the area to freeze up completely for one post.
Heat Crusher: Consumes 60 Rage. Hyde grabs his opponent and unleashes a deadly series of attacks on them culminating in throwing them into the air and then pulling them back down to earth, aiming to completely destroy their internal organs and skeleton.
Bloody Roar: Consumes 90 Rage. Hyde roars so loudly he actually causes a giant sonic wave that decimates everything in his path and dizzies his opponent. As a side effect of feeling so much rage, his opponent may also fear him.
Losing it Completely: Consumes 150 Rage. Only possible by gathering up 100 Rage and then having admin approval to break the limit via a special Trigger. Hyde goes completely batshit insane and, in summary, rips his opponent a new one. Unavoidable, unblockable, this move wins fights automatically. However just to break the limit Hyde must have admin permission to win.

History
There isn't much to tell about Hyde. He only remembers bits and scraps about his childhood, general things that really could apply to anyone. As a hybrid, he was teased so he hid his Al Bhed side and always angled his glasses so the shine would cover his eyes. He was also very smart, much smarter than most of the other children which left him isolated and quiet. He learned martial arts at some point and at that point became very, very strong, using his skills to help those in need. He's been everywhere in Spira, though his memories seem clearest in Besaid and deteriorate in quality right up to Zanarkand where they blank out almost completely.
In terms of his recent memory, he can actually recall with clarity what has happened. He washed up on the shores of Besaid and met very nice people who took care of him until he was able to recall enough to function in society. He felt like he was searching for someone, and when he heard about and saw Yuna once while she stayed in Besaid, he believes it is her he is seeking. Yet at the same time, deep down Hyde knows that it isn't her. It's on the tip of his tongue, and he knows that it's something LIKE her but fundamentally different. He searches however, hoping he can find his answers while noting that something is calling him.
It's big and it lives in the sea.
Very deeply in the sea.
And it's almost like it... wants a rematch.
