Personality
Full of life.
That’s the best way to describe this man. Enjoying his life and living each moment to it’s fullest at every step of his journey. An Ex-Guardian turned Fiend Hunter, Yasuo Morimoto is a proud and honest young man with a heart of gold and bright smile. Always ready and willing to help out those in need, whether it be fending off a horde of Fiend attacks, helping an old woman carry her shopping home or repairing a broken Machine, he’ll do it. And always with a smile spread across his lips. Though for a human, he is an exceptionally good mechanic and though he works for the Non Serviam faction, he remodels machina into more useful, less destructive pieces of equipment.
He’s a proud man and there is nothing more important in Spira then his one and only son, Yung, who is only 4 years old. The small lad can always be seen holding his father’s hand and walking beside him. The only time he’s not around is when combat arises, but eager to be like his father, he tries to watch his daddy fight whenever he can, to learn to and to be able to fight beside him in the future. Yasuo loves his son dearly and even though he grieves for his deceased wife on an almost daily basis, mostly to himself in his mind, the Ex-Guardian longs for the day he can find Yung a new mother.
The only times you’ll see Yasuo without a smile on his face, is when he’s either thinking about the tragic event that wiped out his family and village a few years ago or when he’s in battle. After Sin was defeated, he changed occupation to stop the other villages, towns and even cities from suffering the same fate as his own. At the end of the day though, he’s a nice guy with a big heart.
Appearance
Height: 5ft 11
Weight: 203 lbs.
Build: Body more on the slender side, but is very athletic and toned.
Skin Colour: Peach.
Hair Style: Long straight hair reaching his mid back. Four large and defined bangs reach down to his chin.
Hair Colour: Dark brown.
Eye Colour: Emerald Green.
Clothing: Yasuo wears an ordinary cotton shirt that hugs his chest and reveals some of his figure. Made by him from special threads that allow the material to take heavy punishment before tearing or fraying. His pants are made from the same durable yet flexible materials and both are a dark, navy blue in colour. His boots and gloves are made from sturdy leather and are dark brown in colour. A single pauldron covers his right shoulder and matching armour protects his entire right arm, hand made by him to hug his arm and keep it secure. Yasuo’s blade is strapped to his back by brown belts and rests in a matching colour scabbard. A thin strip of red cloth is laid under the scabbards belts and hangs over his right shoulder like a small cape. A bandage can be constantly seen worn tightly around his left forearm and wrist.

The below image is Yung Morimoto, Yasuo’s 4 year old son who is almost always seen with his father, since their home was attacked and destroyed by fiends when Yung was only a baby. Yasuo would give his life to protect his own son, but with the death of his wife when the village got attacked, he’s all Yung has got left.

Weapons
Maelstrom – Yasuo’s trusted blade and loyal companion. It is crafted from an unknown mineral by his own hands and has been tried and tested several times in combat and training lessons. The blades edge, which is double sided, never seems to dull.
Armour
His clothing covering his chest and legs are made from a special material that’s tough to tear and fray with normal, everyday activities. The cloth can survive a blow from a bladed weapon without causing damage to the skin, yet the area of cloth hit usually tears open afterwards slightly.
The armour covering his right arm seems to be made from the same mineral as his sword. It’s extremely tough and will take a serious amount of damage to even dent, let alone break or chip. It starts around his wrist and goes up to his upper arm, where a pauldron covers his shoulder.
Items
Father’s Memento
This small gem that fits almost perfectly into your hand, was once a prised treasure of Yasuo’s father. His parents were both killed at the same time his wife was when Fiends attacked his home village. After rummaging through the wreckage, he found this safe keep and has kept it on his person at all times. It has a lot of sentimental value.

Class Abilities
Flametongue – The Ex-Guardian has this power from his father’s training, to instantly imbue his blade with a fiery hot flame that can be used to attack an opponent, or to double as a make-shift torch to light up darkened areas. The blade itself catches on fire when this skill is used.
Cooldown – One post. 40 AP.
Thunder Blade – The same as Flametongue, though this time with a Lightning element to it. The blade crackles to life with electricity and painfully shocks anything that touches it. Learned from his father, Yasuo can almost instantly turn his blade into a blade of lightning. Can be useful to power up Machina too.
Cooldown – One post. 40 AP.
Custom Abilities
Dual Strike – A special technique that Yasuo can perform when in combat or if the need calls for it. What happens, is that the Ex-Guardian takes a second to adjust his stance, before darting forwards in a straight line, at a blinding speed for roughly 30 feet. As he does, he slashes his blade twice in an instantaneous action, attacking his opponents with an ‘X’ styled slash. If several targets are standing in the same line that Yasuo travels in, all are attacked separately.
Cooldown – One post
Magnum Thunder – Good with a blade, as well as with martial arts, Yasuo learned this techniques after years of hard studying and practice. It’s a 6-hit kicking combo. Though the Ex-Guardian can alter the style as he pleases, he mainly starts off with 3 ground kicks with the 4 knocking his foe into the air, before the last 2 striking with powerful, Lightning element blows that knock the enemy back down to the floor. With larger, heavier opponents, he sticks to using all 6 attacks as ground moves, unless he jumps to reach more vulnerable areas to attack.
Cooldown – One post
Maelstrom’s Wrath – This is Yasuo’s ‘Limit Break’ so to speak. Maelstrom’s Wrath is a powerful and almost impossible technique to pull off by those not knowledgeable in Yasuo’s training regime. The attack itself is Flametongue, Thunder Strike and Dual Strike rolled into one. It takes much longer to prepare then his other moves, but when it’s ready the Ex-Guardian uses the same stance and attacking technique as Dual Strike, except at the same time, a bolt of lightning zaps down from the heavens and strikes the enemy while the earth beneath their feet erupts and explodes into a massive flame pillar.
Cooldown – 5 posts.

History
Born into a village of ordinary people consisting mainly of farmers and traders, Yasuo Morimoto seemed destined to follow the tradition of the village and end up caring for cattle and chocobos, growing vegetables and fruit and selling his wares to visitors as well as to Summoners and their Guardians. One day though, a Summoner came to Yasuo’s village. A beautiful, kind and caring young woman with her trademark red hair that gave her the nickname of Red. Though Yasuo was only a child at the time, he was complete fascinated with this young woman. There was another with her though, a tall and strong man who had introduced himself as Red’s Guardian. During her stay in the village, Yasuo spent as much time as he could with Red and her Guardian, learning all about her pilgrimage to go and defeat Sin and bring about the Calm once more, as well as the Guardians being the ones to protect and defend their Summoners from anything that tried to impose the pilgrimage or threaten the Summoner herself.
Yasuo was amazed and though he was saddened when Red had to leave to continue her pilgrimage, the young lad vowed he’d become a strong and noble Guardian and that he’d defend his very own Summoner. He had told this to Red the night before she left and with a smile, she encouraged the little Yasuo. Her beautiful face and warm, kindhearted soul would forever stay with him and help keep his dream a goal for the future.
After telling his father about his new dream, he was pretty supportive and decided that it was time to start teaching Yasuo how to handle a sword and learn to fight. Fiends were usually a big problem at this village and Yasuo’s father, along with a handful of others were able to fight them off and keep the village protected. Several years passed of hard work and tireless training, but it was well worth every second of it. Yasuo had grown into a fine young man and he was ready to go out and defend his very own Summoner along their pilgrimage. Though as if by fate, a young woman had visited the village and was in need of someone to help her. Being the gentleman that he was, Yasuo went to find her to offer his aid. The surprise that hit him when he first laid eyes on the young woman was unimaginable. Red hair, gorgeous body and a smile that warmed your very heart… Was it Red? Yasuo had to blink a few times to make sure. It wasn’t her unfortunately, but after getting to know her a little, he found out that her name was Isabelle and that she was Red’s daughter. She was also a Summoner and her mother had told her to seek out a man in a remote part of Spira and ask if he’d want to become her Guardian.
Instantly attracted to her after this, Yasuo accepted and they went off together to start the pilgrimage. Along the way, after many ordeals and hardships, Yasuo and Isabelle fell in love and after learning the terrible truth that Yasuo would have to sacrifice himself to become Isabelle’s Final Aeon, the pair took some time out to reflect upon this and make a final decision. During this time, Isabelle had become pregnant and it was at that moment the two of them decided to quit the pilgrimage. Returning to Yasuo’ home town, Yung was born and the new family couldn’t have been happier.
It was only a few months later that disaster struck...
A Summoner by the name of Yuna had managed to get onboard of a massive, flying machina airship and with the Al Bhed’s help, blasted off the fins of Sin with a powerful lightning cannon. A scale from one of these fins landed near the village Yasuo and his family resided in. During the night, hundreds of Fiends attacked and slaughtered everyone. Yasuo woke to the sound of his home being destroyed and only had time to grab his son and escape with his life. Returning after dawn, the village was raised to the ground and everyone else was dead. Everyone... but after rummaging around the wreckage of his home, with tears streaming down his face, the body of his beloved wife wasn’t to be found. She had vanished into thin air as if she came from the Dream Zanarkand. Taking his sword and finding his father’s memento, he left the village behind him, carrying his son in his arms and vowing to never let a tragedy like this happen ever again...
Although he joined Non Serviam and works for the best interest of the faction, he still holds a personal grudge against Yuna, her Guardians and Cid for the massacre of his wife and village.
