On FFXSS, only certain levels of members have access to certain famous Final Fantasy materials. Everyone can get things of normal types of material (Steel, whathaveyou), but "special" materials have restrictions. Leaders may have 3 pieces of armour of special materials, while Lieutenants may get 2. Additional pieces may be purchased by anyone (even a regular character). This is not to say that it is REQUIRED to use these materials; in fact, quite the opposite. BUT, for those who do like to use materials like this, these are the guidelines we're putting on them.
LEADER LEVEL
The following materials can ONLY be accessed by Leaders unles you pay for them with AP (100 AP Cost)
Adamantine
Orichalchum
LIEUTENANT LEVEL
The following materials can be accessed by Lieutenants and Leaders, and by regular members who pay for them with AP (75 AP Cost)
Diamond
Platinum
Mythril

Physical Defence (Strongest to Weakest):
Adamantine, Orichalchum, Platinum, Diamond, Mythril
Magical Defence (Strongest to Weakest):
Orichalchum, Mythril, Diamond, Adamantine, Platinum
