Seayn, lightning rod extraordinare, had been wondering these plains for quite some time. He found the element contained within to be quite fascinating, even if he wasn't the best at avoiding such things. He actually tended to attract them more often than not, especially with his armored body. He was having a particularly bad time dodging at the moment, even though his luck was never really the best. Several scorch marks covered the weary traveler and he wasn't exactly in the best condition at the moment.
Seayn had decided to take cover underneath a lightning tower, having removed his armor. Protect hadn't worked very well against the lightning, it had blasted through it. If only he had reflect, to teach that sky who was boss. He pointed his hand towards the sky, releasing a blast of light towards it. He knew that this wouldn't truly damage it, nor would it actually do anything but it helped him release his frustration. He let out a heavy sigh, sounding slightly like a growl. Perhaps he would be better equipped to deal with lightning using rubber armor. Perhaps he should get some.
Seayn stood up, having of course put his armor back on. He strode back out into the dangerous, fiend infested, lightning blasted wilderness... and was promptly struck with a bolt, casting him to the ground. He let out a groan, covering his head. He was getting quite annoyed by these silly bolts even if they were interesting. He continued to lay there, waiting, his hands covering his head and face down on the ground.

Sol, on the other hand, seemed to repel lightning. Not magically, he just didn’t attract it. Maybe because Seayn was attracting it for him. Either way, the grey-haired man walked along the plains mostly unscathed, fresh blood dripping from the blade of his scythe. He was in Gamma form at the moment, just after a battle with some of the fiends that infested the plains. With the lightning the whirlwind attack he had in this form seemed to be more effective, hence why he walked in the noticeably menacing Gamma form right now, scythe out and over his shoulder. That, and it was a really cool effect. Nothing terrified the wayward traveler more than seeing a dark, menacing form walking toward them through a storm with a scythe over shoulder.
He noticed as he walked that the lightning was striking in a peculiar pattern, as if following someone else who was walking along the plains. The difference between each bolt was enough to be a fair pace, and then they paused for a moment before resuming. The scythe-bearing warrior crested a hill just in time to see the armored individual get struck hard by a bolt, casting him to the ground. The man was smoldering, but still moving. Sol grinned to himself. The lightning was rather pretty, particularly when it lingered, arcing through the man’s armor for a second before disappearing into the ground.
Sol headed toward the man who was still on the ground. He didn’t know why he was doing it, but then again he didn’t know why he did half the things he did. He merely felt the urge and followed through with it, a true slave to his own whimsies. Not that he cared; they carried him through life quite successfully, doing what he wanted when he wanted, and few people tried to stop him because few people actually cared. That, and when one could whip out a sawblade the size of a small man most people tended to wise up and not create conflict. In this case his whims were less displeasing to authority and more general curiosity and boredom. Lightning was pretty, but it disappeared quickly.
Scythe over shoulder, clad in a dark outfit including dark armor, Sol reached the grounded man and bent over him, striking the figure most would call the Grim Reaper. He smiled foolishly. ”If you keep lying around here you might catch a cold, or get mugged,” Sol said, digging the butt of the scythe into the ground and using it to support him as he looked down at the armored man. How peculiar he was, to walk through the field clad in armor. Then again, so was Sol. [/blockquote]

Seayn let out another groan at the thumping of something nearby. Was it a fiend perhaps, a person, arrows coming closer... more lightning?! He popped up, his enhanced strength allowing him to do it quite easily. His white glowing aura was quite obvious in this dark, plain. Unless lightning was striking... then it blended in. He looked at the man, well armed for a regular traveler and looking particularly vicious. "My name's Seayn." He said instinctively, giving his name out wasn't that big of a deal since as far as he knew no one would want to hurt him.
Seayn walked around the man for a moment, they looked quite different. One was in dark, spiked armor with a scythe... while the other was dressed in bright armor with a bright white blade. It would be strange, almost as if they should be colliding against each other but that had never really been something that Seayn would do. He rubbed the hilt of his blade for a moment while he examined the man. It was strange that this man was in the Thunder Plains as well... Most people weren't silly enough to wear armor through such a place but Seayn would never part with his armor, it was quite special to him.
Seayn smiled at the man. Appearances didn't really matter to him that much. He offered his hand to the man, waiting patiently for a handshake. The sky had decided to play a joke on him though. A blast of lightning struck the knight again, small bolts radiated off of him, the man looking as if every muscle in his body had tensed. Sol remained relatively unscathed, except for a small bolt that headed his way, which would cause nothing more than a small discomfort.

The scythe-bearing dark man watched as the man labeled Seayn inspected him. Sol simply stood still, his eyes following the knight but otherwise unmoving. After Seayn seemed satisfied with his inspection and introduced himself, Sol grinned widely. ”Seen? I haven’t seen it, so how is your name seen? Unless it’s written in books, then a lot of people have seen it.” Sol said, digging the butt of the scythe into the ground. He didn’t normally travel around as Gamma, but he wasn’t about to change forms in front of this man lest he catch him off guard and get a sword to the throat for trying. Everyone was so jumpy.
”Sol,” he said, feeling no qualms with giving out his name easily. What could happen if someone has your name? They can make fun of you? Oh no! Sol waited for the man to reply, but nature had other plans. Sol could almost hear mother nature shouting “DENIED” as a lightning bolt struck down on the man named Seayn. An arc shot toward Sol and hit him, running through his armor. Sol felt it, almost a tickle as it tingled against his skin. He raised his hand and held his fingers in a half fist, watching as the electricity arced between the appendages. ”Tickles,” he mused lightly as he examined the blue electricity, not wanting it to leave his glove.
Of course it did, though its progress could be tracked down the warrior’s armor as the lightning arced between the spikes, travelling quickly to the ground. Sol watched the journey with curiosity until it arced into the ground and was never heard from again. Perhaps it had found a better place, or perhaps the ground was a barrier that stopped its journey and it simply gave up. Lightning was such a curious creature; Sol decided that someday he would find out more about it. Of course this was a pursuit that would never come about, since Sol would move on to other things, forget about it and won’t even think about lightning until he saw it again, thus restarting the loop.
He looked up, having lost himself in thoughts, and down at Seayn once more. The man seemed to like it on the ground. The electricity arced through his armor quite visibly before finally settling into the ground. Sol blinked, nudging him with the butt end of his scythe. ”Are you alright? You don’t seem to have very good footing,” he asked, continuing to poke. [/blockquote]

Seayn shook his head, wondering what had happened once more. It wasn't important he decided, standing again. "Seayn... SHA-AY-NE. Spelled S-E-A-Y-N. Do you understand? Seen is not my name." He approached prodding the tip of the scythe to inspect its sharpness. It was quite sharp, he imagined, he wouldn't like that catching him anywhere. "Sol... like the floaty thing in me... or the bottom of my shoe?" He asked, wondering if it was as simple as it sounded. It rarely was but it didn't matter to him really, he just thought that he should know in case this man ever really cared. He began to brush himself off, his armor darkened in several places. He should really learn how to avoid this lightning. Seayn pushed away the butt of the scythe rubbing his side. "My footing is fine, it's my head in the clouds that's the problem."
Seayn began to check himself, making sure that everything was in proper placement. As far as he could tell it was and that was good. He licked the tip of a gauntleted finger before using it to begin to clean the dark spot where the lightning had struck him. "I don't even know why I'm out here." He muttered, giving a reproaching look at the sky as if to taunt it... His attempt at taunting something that wasn't alive failed miserably. He shook his head, looking back to Sol. "Anyhow, how are you, good sir?"
