“There we are, I think I see it,” Rwaht said, wondering whether or not he should just teleport directly down. At first it seemed like a decent idea because it would help him avoid drawing attention to himself, but Yuna was right, the area was very well forested and hidden, and for another thing, there was such a thing as too much showing off. Even if you were the flame-winged general of a big, secret organization. He slowly drifted down, making sure that no one could see the two of them, then gently touched down on the ground at the spot where Yuna had picked. It was actually quite nice, a cliff with a fantastic view of a lake below. It struck him again that Spira was incredibly beautiful. And for that matter, its people seemed to be, too… but no sense thinking on that at the moment. He let Yuna down onto her feet, then said, “Well, here we are. Where to first?”
As he looked about him, Rwaht couldn’t help but feel that the entire place was intricately woven, with a binding story holding it all together just beneath the surface. The grass, the trees, the water… it was all so different from his own home. He couldn’t help but feel perhaps that this wasn’t his story to join, that he’d come along in the middle of it and wasn’t meant to properly fit in with the rest. Maybe he’d missed out on too much of Spira’s story? All the Spirans knew of Sin, and certainly, Rwaht did too, but it was in a detached, separate kind of way. He’d never known the fear of Sin that had bound all of Spira, had never really been one of them. Maybe coming here and trying to get to know its people was a mistake. Maybe he should’ve just come, done his job, and left.
No, no, he couldn’t think like that. Not when… not when the people were so fascinating, when there were so many new things he could finally see and experience for himself. And furthermore, there was something about Yuna that made him feel compelled to stay, and try and get to know her as much as he could. Maybe life wasn’t just about grimness and duty after all.
And maybe, just maybe, the Heroic Monster was finally learning that lesson.

Yuna was almost sad to have this experience end.
Her blue-green orbs flickered about the familiar surroundings of her home. How long had it been since she had disappeared? The journey to Macalania must have taken her a couple of days, and yet Rwaht had managed to bring them back in a manner of minutes. It did make Yuna think about getting her own sort of transportation. Perhaps a Chocobo, or hiring Rwaht had her own personal guide? Laughing just slightly at the thought, she kept that particular fancy to herself. Soon, he had lowered her to her feet, and she felt just a little disappointed. Her eyes widened a fraction, and Yuna quickly spun around, her back to him. Cheeks darkening, she would try and hide that reaction for the moment.
She could not allow herself to think that way.
Inhaling deeply, the High Summoner resolved to calm herself down. No need to make Rwaht worry about her, or anyone for that matter. How she loved her home here, so far away from the business of the rest of Spira. Where no one treated her as the High Summoner, but as the same girl that had left two years ago, on the start of her pilgrimage. How much had she changed since then? Yuna was no longer that naive and innocent girl she had been, blindly faithful to the teachings of Yevon. Perhaps she had become more melancholy since her pilgrimage, but she was still herself. Stubborn and always doing what she could to help others. Perhaps it was time to think of herself, though.
"The beach. I want to show you the beaches of Besaid!" Turning, Yuna suddenly smiled brightly. That was where she would take Rwaht~! Without much thought, she walked past the man, grabbing his hand lightly within hers. For a moment, she thought of her once soft hands, now calloused from using the Brotherhood as a Warrior. Shaking the thought away, Yuna lead Rwaht carefully down the small slope that lead to a small four-way path. Every path and crevice of Besaid, she knew by heart. Her home, and where she truly belonged. More happy than she had been when she first met Rwaht, she lead him toward the beach with a smile on her lips.

Yuna spun around and faced away from him the moment she got down, surprising Rwaht a fair bit. Had he perhaps done something to upset her…? He heard her take a deep sigh, though it seemed like a happy one. Perhaps just taking in the air and view of her home? That was what he hoped, anyway, because frankly if he’d managed to offend Yuna already then his social skills were even more depleted than he’d previously imagined. He supposed not, however, because after a moment she promptly turned around and smiled, like she was on top of the world. Which could hardly count as a bad thing.
“The beach. I want to show you the beaches of Besaid!” She announced, grabbing his hand without warning. Rwaht blinked for a moment, a little unused to such forward action from anyone. He was a little surprised by the calluses on her hands; he’d honestly taken her for a mage at first sight, and certainly knew of her reputation as a White Mage. But then, everyone changed and grew. She led him through the Besaid wild, apparently possessing a thorough knowledge of the area, given the way she moved without erring even once. Rwaht couldn’t help but grin as she led him, grinning cheerfully. It was nice to see her so happy all of a sudden.
“Then I guess to the beach it is,” Rwaht said with a laugh, and he had to admit that he was having a good time. Yuna was certainly an… interesting individual. They came down towards the beach area, and the ground started to give way to sand, as they entered a pathway surrounded on both sides by little miniature cliffsides. Rwaht could get a glimpse of the beach area from the path, but it wasn’t until they finally came out to the entire beach that he managed to get a proper appreciation for the entire place. He smiled and said, “You really do have a beautiful place to live, Yuna. It’s wonderful.”
He’d seen such things before, but only from afar, only from a neutral perspective. It was wonderful to finally be able to see such a wonderful place up close, without worrying about being secretive or whatever. Soon… soon, the need for secrecy would subside. So perhaps he could just let go and have a little fun!

Even she was surprised by how bold her actions were.
Yuna could feel her heart racing just a little more quickly than it should. These emotions, the heat that seemed to burn her cheeks, and she stopped her thoughts right there. No, she could not do this to herself again, and did she want to move on so easily? Was it too soon? After two years, even the High Summoner knew that answer, but she could not bring herself to. No matter how much it hurt to cling onto that faint hope, some days it was all Yuna had left. It was so selfish of her to keep holding onto this hope, and she was only hurting herself more in the end. Had she not promised Rikku that she would think more of herself? Biting her bottom lip for a moment, she felt so much confusion over this situation.
Yuna should just enjoy the moment. The past was always on her mind, and she knew Rwaht would notice at some point. Placing a bright smile upon her lips, she glanced about her familiar surroundings. Even consumed by her thoughts, the High Summoner could never get lost within her home. She had lived here for over twelve years, and she still loved it here so very much. The beauty and serene views of Besaid always calmed her burdened heart. Her tense relaxed, and though she was not quite as happy as before, Yuna was at peace. "I was raised in Bevelle, but this is my true home. Everyone I ever cared about, I met here," she murmured. Perhaps more to herself than to Rwaht, but it was true.
It was where she had first met him.
Yuna wanted to mentally slap herself. She needed something--anything to distract her! It was not fair to herself or to Rwaht that she was always thinking of him. As the beach came into view, she tried to focus on the moment now~! Her hand slipped from his, and Yuna began to slowly make her way to the shoreline. Something she could be found doing so very often. Searching, or maybe getting caught up in her memories once more. Yuna wanted to very much to let go, and anyone who knew her could see that, but how did she do so? Glancing over her shoulder, a smile curled on her lips. Even in her happiness, her eyes were tinged with a sadness. "Care to join me?"

Rwaht had noticed all along that Yuna seemed to feel some deep sadness, some regret plaguing her thoughts and undertoning all her actions. And though he still felt that was true here, he couldn’t help but think that the High Summoner was just a little bit happier here in Besaid, where she so obviously felt at home. She as much as said the same thing when she spoke next and Rwaht couldn’t help but smile. She slipped her hand out of his and started to make her way to the shoreline, Rwaht lagging behind just a bit so that she could enjoy the moment for herself. She looked over her shoulder at him, and though she smiled, Rwaht couldn’t help but notice that sadness in her eyes.
We’re going to have to do something about that, Rwaht thought, his thinking surprisingly playful.
“Care to join me?”
“Of course,” Rwaht replied simply, walking up beside Yuna with a smile. He didn’t know what it would take, but he wanted to find some way to cheer her up. In his opinion, she deserved a little happiness. And if they just kept standing around, doing nothing, that happiness might be hard to find….
So perhaps a little spontaneity was what they needed~!
What has gotten into me, Rwaht thought incredulously, before promptly swooping Yuna off her feet and jumping out into the water, using his abilities to make the leap take them far enough out to water where it was deep. They crashed into the water and he let her go, righting himself in the water and breaking above the surface, the water splashing off his skin and hair. He couldn’t help but laugh as he tread water, grinning mischievously at the woman he barely knew.
“Come on, let’s have some fun,” Rwaht said with a laugh, splashing up some water, the little droplets of water shimmering in the beautiful Besaid sunlight.

Yuna sensed Rwaht was planning something.
Her head tilted, and she regarded the swordsman with a curious smile. Her brow quirked just a little, and she watched with bated breath as he walked up toward her. With the sun as it was, Rwaht looked rather--bad thoughts! Mentally slapping herself, the High Summoner quickly looked away. A small blush dusted her cheeks, and she kept berating herself mentally. Yuna should not be thinking about Rwaht in such a way, not when she had only known him for a few short hours. So caught up in her rather panicked thoughts, she hardly noticed what Rwaht had planned for her. Before she knew it, Yuna had been swept off her feet.
Gasping, she looked up to Rwaht in surprise.
What was he planning to do? Suddenly, they were airborne, and her heart had stopped. Her scream caught in her throat, and Yuna managed to hold her breath before they both crashed into the water. The clear blue depths of the ocean surrounded her, and the High Summoner was just a little dazed. Luckily, instinct saved her, and she swam to the surface of the water. Gasping her breath, she shook her head. Eyes wide and shock still etched onto her features, Yuna turned to glance at Rwaht. His laugh met her ears, and it seemed to clear the fog that had settled over her thoughts. Had he really just jumped into the ocean? Her over skirt tangled about her legs, and her outfit really was not the best for swimming.
Pouting, Yuna suddenly launched herself at the laughing man.
Her lips parted, and she laughed so brightly. The High Summoner merely tackled Rwaht, and she sent them both tumbling into the water. A familiar memory of something akin to this came into her mind, but Yuna pushed it away. She did not want to think of the past so much anymore, but to the present and the future. Holding her breath, she grinned at Rwaht beneath the water. So familiar, and yet so different at the same time.

For the first time in literally years, Rwaht was laughing hard enough to split his sides. The look on Yuna’s face was priceless! What, was it his fault that she was wearing an explosion of lace and cloth~? He fought very hard not to think bad thoughts about the way said explosion of lace and cloth looked on her soaking wet. Suddenly, however, she laughed too, which made things considerably better. At least he hadn’t upset her. All of a sudden, however, she suddenly flew at him in a full-body tackle, taking him with much more force than Rwaht ever would’ve expected from the lightweight High Summoner. They both went deep into the water, Rwaht barely managing to take in a breath of air before they submerged.
Yuna grinned mischievously at him underwater, the water setting her hair and clothes afloat so that she looked angelic, almost otherworldly. It was quite the sight to behold~. Rwaht, meanwhile, smiled like back, the smile on his face as devilish as ever. What she didn’t know was that Rwaht’s senses and attributes were—inexplicably, he admitted—enhanced well beyond normal human tolerance. Even against a regular Blitzball competitor, Rwaht could hold his own at… holding his breath.
That, and he had another little trick he could use~
Tapping into the power of Vis Imperium-{Superbia}, Rwaht righted himself underwater and crossed his arms, assuming a position as if he were sitting cross-legged even though he was about a foot beneath the surface of the water with nothing beneath him to support him. Grinning that roguish grin that came on his face so very, very rarely, he gave a little wave to Yuna and let out a few bubbles of air from his mouth as he laughed, still grinning confidently. What she didn’t know was that Rwaht had yet another magical trick up his sleeve.
This is too much fun, Rwaht thought, his mood genuinely soaring.

Everything looked so beautiful under the ocean.
Yuna had always loved swimming in the ocean, taking in all the sights, and that certain rush it brought to her. Under the water, she hardly felt weighed down by her intricate outfit, though the voluminous amount of fabric floated out around her. The High Summoner was quite proud she could hold her breath for a long time, though. She had been practicing over the two years, and now she could last around five minutes~! Her head tilted, and Yuna could see the grin upon his lips. That alone made her just a little wary, but she dismissed it for now. Moving her legs, she managed to turn away from Rwaht, and she swam forward. It was rather awkward in this outfit, but Yuna managed to do so.
She could see so many things.
Yuna could see the shining sun through the thin veil of the ocean surface. Distorted the scene was, but the rays made the whole surface light up. It was one thing to see it from the beach, but another to see it underwater. Her legs continued to move back and forth, to keep herself close to the surface, and because not everyone could hold themselves in place with telekinesis, or whatever ability Rwaht had. Swinging her body to the right, she managed to turn herself to face him once more. If she could have sighed, Yuna would have, seeing Rwaht perfectly still in the water. The skirt of her outfit tangled about her legs for a moment, and the High Summoner nearly sank.
Stupid outfit.
Reaching down, Yuna quickly tried to untangle herself, throwing a mild glare at Rwaht from her position. There was no true malice or anger behind her, but she could be just a little envious that she could not be at such ease in the water. Not to mention her lungs were beginning to burn. Kicking her legs out from beneath her, Yuna swam to the surface, gasping for air as she broke the surface. The warmth of the sun shone upon her face, and without much care, she suddenly leaned back, merely floating upon the surface of the water. It was probably not fair to let Rwaht sit down underneath all by himself, though he did deserve it. Holding back a laugh, Yuna inhaled deeply, and she was underneath the water once more.
How lovely.
