This isn't so much an attempt to de-mystify the plot as it is a story idea that can be enacted by anyone.

So we know that Sin is coming back, yeah? Why not make it so that the fiends can 'feel' this - thus making them act anomalously during battles?

In the upcoming boss battles and event topics, there will be fiends acting strangely, yes. However, I obviously can't control the way that Fiends behave in all of your RPs and whatnot~ In there, it's completely up to you guys. ^_^
