The city of Durnam is ruled by two gangs, the Matsumoto, which is prominently Asian, and the Zalcman, which is everyone else. But the gang's would be nothing if it weren't for their founders and supporters, Tomashi Matsumoto and Eric Zalcman. These two men own the city, and although they do not hate each other, they don't completely get along either. Every now and again they will ask favors of each other, but it often ends badly when the favor isn't 'returned'.
Durnam isn't one of the safest places to live. Druggies run wild, the police are twisted, and make an enemy and you might end up dead or on a harvesting table. But if you mind your own business or choose your friends wisely, then you can live a long and healthy life.
