Verloren looked around, as he realized he was near a beach now, he was wondering how he got here and sighed, maybe a map would of been helpful. It seemed that no one was here either, which was good for him, as he approached a palm tree and put his sword and shield near it. He soon walked toward the water and cleaned his face, he also took a sip of it. It was fresher then he expected, it also made him feel better. The warrior walked back to the palm tree and sat in between his armor and shield, his back to the tree. He looked at the sky, the clouds, everything was magnificant here, peaceful even.. He soon closed his eyes and drifted into sleep.
In his dream he was in a small body, his 6 year old self. Walking toward the kitchen with his brothers for some food, kid V was curious about some stuff. "Huh... brother.. what's a mother?" He said, curious about it, as he heard his father saying they were worthless just like their mother. The three brothers all shrugged and the eldest one replied. "I have no idea, you know how he is.... you can never ask him a question..' The four brothers just sighed, their father wasn't really, talkative in that matter, ask him one you either receive a punch.... or get scarred near the eye like the eldest of the four brothers. They arrived at the kitchen only to be greeted by their father. "I see that you little worthless scums are in the kitchen.. Have I not taught you enough YOU WORTHLESS PIECES OF CRAP, GO HUNT FOR YOUR FOOD, THIS IS NOT A TIME TO GET A BREAK, GO NOW, STOP CRYING YOU LITTLE SHITS." The father said, as he kicked them out of the house and slammed the door, one thing is for sure, he seemed quite pissed off. The brothers all split up and were left alone, V was walking armed with nothing more then a dagger, fists and teeth. He was afraid, every child would be afraid of this, being left alone outside, when the sky is getting dark. It was also getting a bit cold, soon enough he heared a growl coming from behind, he turned around and saw a wolf, the look in the kids face, changed automatically, to that of a warrior, no doubt all the harsh training he had. The wolf charged at him, while V was steady, when the wolf jumped the kid rolled to his right and when the wolf landed he stabbed the back of the wolf. He heard it growl even more as he slahed at his chest, the kid was able to defend himself with his right arm, however it scratched his arm. The little boy made a weird face, trying to control his tears, and eventually he punched the wolf's eye as fast as he could and then came time to attack the wolf with his teeth, eventually he jumped at the back of the wolf, taking his dagger out of the place he stabbed and soonhe stabbed the neck of the wolf, killing it. His clothes were dirty, not to mention he had blood all over him, his right arm was hurting, but he managed to get his food. As he dragged the wolf all the way to the house, leaving a trail of blood behind. He entered the kitchen were two of his brothers were cooking their food, soon the last one arrived as Verloren was cooking his. All the brothers seemed worried when they saw his scratched right arm. Kid V was happy, the father was harsh but at least, he knew he could always count on his brothers, because they all cared for each other.
Soon the scene changed, taking it to a more dreaded scene. He was 16 years old, and was watching one of his brother's fight, a deadly battle, he couldn't believe his eyes at the scene he was seeing. The father attacked, all the blows were violent, eventually the brother got disarmed, that's when V started screaming.. "STOPPPP PLEASE... STOP IT.
"STOPPPP NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" Verloren just screamed as he woke up, he was sweating like crazy, tears coming out of his eyes, he just breathed, deeply he was trying to remain calm, it didn't took him long, to be calm again, he just sighed as he looked at the sand, touching it with his hands, playing with it. Why did he always get that dreaded scene in his dreams, that cursed past of his, what did he do to deserve this. He sighed calmly, as tears kept falling down. Hopefully no one was here and no one saw him, nor heard him scream, it would be embarassing if someone saw him like this.

Today had been a good day.
Lyssa could not help but grin widely as she tossed the Gil laden purse in her hands. It had been fun, not just your rudimentary 'grab and go' highwayman style steal, but a masterstroke of light fingered thievery, combined with perfect acting, and of course, just a touch of sex appeal. It was difficult for someone to ignore her, she had found, especially when she had been sobbing at the side of the road, bawling into her knees.
She had stolen aboard the ferry to get to Besaid. That had nearly gone badly wrong. One of the urchins aboard had stolen her normal space. She'd had to give him a full quarter of the contents of the purse to get him to shut up. A little bit of money went a long way, but it took a lot to do anything less, evidently. But still, he had to respect how easily he could make money, it was almost as much of a steal as hers.
But something now caught her eye, dragging her away from the memories of today. A guy laid on the beach. Not too bad looking either. She sort of, froze up. He seemed to be in the fits of a nightmare or something, from the turning he was giving. She climbed a tree to get a better view, one less conspicuous than her previous one. She almost fell out of the tree when he started wailing at the top of his voice.
The tree shook slightly as she grabbed the trunk for support, and she winced. She hoped he hadn't noticed, but it was doubtful. The day was so still, that it would be audible, and definately visible. She looked out at him as he awoke, sweating furiously. She kept an eye on him, her mouth open slightly as she watched, completely invisible in the leafy canopy.

The warrior got up, slowly and calmly, as he wiped the tears away, he took his sword and attached it to his belt, he took his shield and put it on his back, ready to go as he made three steps away from the palm tree, he noticed something strange, footprints, smaller then his foot too. He looked at them making it seem like he looked somewhere else. V saw the destination of the footsteps, it ended right near the palm tree. Verloren walked back slowly, toward the tree. He was wondering if he should just shake the tree until the little spy fell, or should he be more polite. He wasn't really good with people, he just sighed.
Why would someone spy on him, he didn't have anything of value, or did they think they could blackmail a mercenary by seeing them in their worst moments. V was thinking for a while, not paying attention to the tree. He seemed focused on something. He didn't really know what to do, but he couldn't let someone hide like that, he wanted the person to reveal himself or at least to be courageous enough to be face to face with him.
He stepped away from the tree once again, taking his shield out, soon enough he charged toward the tree, bashing it with his shield, the tree was shaking, he hoped that this plan of his worked and that the person would fall. Though what then, what would he do? He wasn't good with people, being a loner makes you bad at socializing.

Lyssa watched as the man ran at the tree, after evidently some deliberation. She raised an eyebrow, did he honestly think that someone deft enough to climb up a tree would fall out so easily? Although, the fact she had almost fallen out of it possibly gave way a less than adept spy. But Lyssa was not inept in any way.
As the tree was impacted, Lyssa vanished with a puff of scarlet and magenta petals, the petals cascading down, as if it had merely been blossom in the tree. But Lyssa had rematerialised, another flurry of petals, and a gentle sigh on the wind marking her signature movement. She stood, hands on hips, almost pouting.
You should really be nicer to girls you know. We don't like being knocked out of trees. Besides, surely the thought must have crossed your mind that someone with the ability to climb a tree would be able to get out quickly?
She smirked a little as she said this. She wasn't being vindictive. More... Pointing out the faults in his thinking. She brought her hands up from her hips, one hand on her chin, the other behind her back. She was not best pleased. She could have actually been injured there. Silly man.
I have to say it was entirely uncalled for. Have you never thought of words?
Her white and red Gi stood out against the forest canopy. It was difficult to see how someone in such vibrant garb could remain hidden at all. And she wasn't the traditional figure for a spy of sorts. She was too... Curvaceous was a subtle way of putting it.

"Come on fall down already." Verloren thought at he kept looking around to see if someone fell down, as he looked up he saw something weird. There was scarlet and mangeta petals falling down, that was unnatural, he poked the palm tree calmly, wondering if he should give it a lick, maybe it was a bad idea as he turned around and saw a girl. He looked at her from toe to head, she was small compared to him, well most girls were. He was amazed by them, back when he was with his brothers and father, he never saw a woman before, when he left the place he was quite surprised, they had stuff he never saw on his brothers, they had two round stuff on their chest, he always thought they were stealing melons but seeing that in every girl made him doubt that.
V shook his head calmly, to come back to the situation happening now. She did seemed to pout about something, soon he heard her voice, he never understood why but girls sure did have melodic voices. "Huh..." He just said, pointing at her and then looking at the tree, he scratched his hair and had an embarrassing look on his face, not to mention his cheeks blushed. V kept looking as it seemed like she was thinking about something.
He already felt embarrassed at the situation, he couldn't say he was inexperienced with people even if it is true. He listened to her again, as she said he should of said something, he just looked down, at the sand, his lips trembling a little as he was trying to gather his courage to say something. ".....Sorry....." Was all that he managed to say, in a timid voice, he scratched his hair again and raised his head, looking at her. He was wondering what she was doing here in the first place, with that weird outfit. V looked at the tree again, wondering if all girls came from the tree.

She smiled at his reaction. He was kinda cute in a strangely innocent way. As if he'd never seen a girl in his life. She shuffled a little, brushing one foot along the ground, head down a little, looking up through through her hair as it fell across her face.
Sorry. I may have been a little harsh. I shouldn't have been intruding. You seemed a little troubled though, I couldn't help but stay.
She looked up, smiling sheepishly, before laughing softly as he looked at the tree, then at her, in a strange way, that seemed to project the thought of girls ALWAYS doing that. She giggled a little, shaking her head a little, standing up straight, cocking her head slightly.
No, we don't all come jumping out of trees. You seem confused. Have you never spoken to a girl or something? You look uncomfortable.
She crossed her arms, smiling gently, looking over him somewhat. Not bad looking, seemed a little out of place, but otherwise, seemed perfectly nice. A bit like a child really, lost, didn't seem to know what he was doing. But blessed with physical prowess, at least, she assumed that from his build. She smiled again, looking at him in the eyes.
So. What you doing here? [/color]

Verloren looked at her, this was so difficult, she was a person after all, different body, voice and well fairly different then him that's for sure. He listened to her, the voice, why did girl voices sound like a melody to his ears. He froze as he looked at her again, did he hear correctly? She saw him while he was having a nightmare. He just sighed calmly, feeling embarrassed again, he never wanted people to find out.
He was taken aback by the giggle, never as he seen something as unique as that. He guessed that it might be about the tree and it was clear when she said that girls didn't jump from trees, so where did girls came from? Hell where did he even came from, his father never said anything about it. All he knows is well blood and killing.
V listened to her question now, what was he doing here? Fairly he didn't know at all, he walked and walked and here he was, in a beach. The warrior scratched his hair, which was getting typical when he didn't know what to do about the current situation, he cleared his throat before talking, his voice still timid. "Huh... I'm not sure...I...I don't know where... I am actually.... just know it's a beach.." Verloren kept looking at her, that smile just seemed, welcoming and well it made him feel warm, which he didn't understand and made him curious.

She giggled again, he really was very sweet, if not a little timid. Very much like a lost child for certain. She nodded.
Yeah, it's a beach. I guess you just wanted to relax, huh?
She smiled broadly. How do you talk to someone who didn't seem to know where he was, what he was, or who he was talking to? How did you do it without sounding patronising? She'd never had to so much as think about talking to someone, least of all guys, it usually came naturally to her, but not him.
Well, you're on Besaid Island. It's a pretty place, nice to come and sunbathe here. Not that you seem the type for sunbathing, but you know what I mean. Well I suppose you don't actually, which probably explains why you're so confused and... Oh, I'm rambling, sorry. I do that sometimes. Anyway, what's your name? Mine's Lyssa.
She giggled again, she was a little flustered from having been forced to transition out of the tree at such short notice, but she quickly regained her composure, walking slowly towards him, each step measured and carefully balanced, silent too.

She did it again, he wasn't sure what to call her giggling after all it's really the first time he stayed for a conversation with a girl, the other times he always ran away from conversations. When he heard her talk, he didn't say anything, he just nodded, after all he did try to rest a little, even if it didn't last that long. Verloren looked back at her again, with a curious expression on his face, he was wondering how he could talk to her.
Besaid Island, so that's where he was, he heard about it, no wonder the place was a magnificiant one. She talked about sunbathing, he was wondering what that was, he looked at at the sun for a while, covering his eyes after a while. He looked back at her. When she asked for his name he just gulped, his cheeks turning red for no reason as he looked away, for a moment he was silent, the silence lasted for some minutes until he gathered the courage to give her his name.
"V....Verloren.." He kept looking away, hoping she doesn't know about him, he wanted to keep it a secret, never did he expect a girl to ask for his name. He was embarrassed as he scratched his hair again. V looked back at the tree again and then at her, something was out of place, how did she jump, without making a sound and without him seeing her, he was looking at the tree after all. "How did you do that?" V asked, seriously, it seemed like his warrior instincts came in, as his look was more serious, he wanted to know, he never saw something like this before, he had to know, so next time he wouldn't be surprised and be on his guards.

She giggled again. He was funny. In a strange and perfectly innocent way, she kind of liked him. He was refreshing from the normal masses of gawping males. He just seemed confused. Not least because she'd gone and effectively turned into a pile of petals, and appeared behind him.
Oh, that? I don't REALLY know. I mean, I know HOW to do it, but I don't know what it is. Transition? Teleportation? It does leave some very nice petals though.
She giggled again, before spinning on one foot, theatrically clapping her hands over her head, and vanishing again, re-appearing about 5 feet behind him. The puff of petals was cyan and white this time. It seemed like it was random, either way, the colour were usually vivid.
So yeah, that's what I did.
She flopped down onto the ground, arms spread eagled. The sun beat down on her face. It was nice, but she was always a little against spending much time out there. The night held much greater wonders.
Come on, sit down, you're making the place look untidy!
She giggled again, grinning broadly. She was always pleased to meet a new person. Especially one who didn't immediately check his pockets or gaze at her in that creepy, longing way. She hated those people...

Verloren looks at her in an odd way as she vanished and left some petals again, now this was odd and incredible in the same place, when he heard her voice behind him he just jumped, startled by her sudden appearance behind him. He looked at her, his eyes had some kind of curious kid look to it, even if she did say she didn't know how it's happening. He was rather, amazed by it.
She giggled, clapped her hands and then vanished again, he kept looking, his jaw wide opened and doing the typical scratching that he has. This times the petal colors did seem different then before, maybe it's random. He heard her voice again though this time he wasn't startled, it seemed like she couldn't really teleport herself that far, at least that's what he thinks. When she sat down and told him to sit, he just nodded and did what he was told, as he sat in front of her.
The warrior hesitated for a while but eventually he poked her shoulder, wondering if it would pass through, though nothing happened, though there was still something about her that.. gave her some kind of mystical look in his eyes. As he just looked at her, scratching his hair, wondering what they would talk about now. V never knew anything like this existed, someone that can vanish and reappear at will it seems.
"So.. hum... huh....you come here often?" V said, to stop the silence, though he wasn't reall sure of how to keep conversations, all he knew is how to attack with his sword and bash someones head with his shield. He wasn't trained to talk, but to kill, this felt different.

Verloren's poking made her open her eyes. He was very much like a child. As if trying to discover whether she was real or not. It wasn't forceful, just enough to find out whether she was there or not. She giggled lightly, smiliing at him.
Yeah, I'm here. Don't worry, I'm not a figment of your imagination.
She looked at him, head cocked to the side, mouth half open in a smile, breathing lightly. Did she come here often? Not really, she was usually too busy pick-pocketting someone to relax, but every so often, after a particularly lucrative heist, she would.
Not generally. Only when I get the time to. Which isn't very often.
She smiled again, looking out across the waves. Were it not for his armoured visage, they would almost look like a couple. But as it was, the diminuitive rogue just looked like she was being interrogated in the nicest of manners. She giggled at this thought. Interrogation... What a joke.
Tell me, how is it you know so little of girls? Or the opposite sex in general? Most soldiers I've met know a lot, if not too much about us.
She rolled her head back, exposing her neck to the sun, the delicate flesh almost inviting, soothingly pale, but with just a hint of rosy flush to make her seem more... Real.

It proved that she wasn't a witch or something, they were deadly, though he was curious about what she was, she might be hiding something but then again everyone hides stuff. It's how people are, no difference in how they act, the only difference is their beliefs. The girl cocked her head to the side again, it made everything feel a bit odd when ever she did that, she was cute though he didn't know why he was like that, he managed to look away for a while as she answered.
So she also seemed busy, but with what, what was her profession, what was she good with, except surprising people like that, maybe she was somekind of thief? Didn't look like it and he didn't really care. Soon she asked her own question, Verloren sighed, looking away.
"We were four brothers and we had a father, that's the only thing I knew, the only family was my brothers, we were taught to fight and kill, never ask questions, love friendship, all weaknesses easily exploited. Father trained us to fight, we were secluded from the others, living in a forest, far away from other people. I never saw a girl when I was younger, all I saw up close, is a stick for sword training, a sword, the fists of my father when he was angry. My brothers and hunting animals for our own food. Our adulthood is different then most people, since we have to kill our father to really be considered as adults, it's a rite of passage. My brothers died and I survived and killed the bastard. Then heh, you can imagine my reaction when I saw girls for the first time."

She listened intently to him. Quite a tale, sad and brutal. She felt for him. She'd led a much more peaceful and carefree life, especially in comparison to him. She looked visibly shocked by the horrific tale he wove. Such treatment was unnecessary. But the past was the past was the past. Dwelling on it did no-one good.
That's a terrible story. But yeah, I can sort of imagine the reaction...
She fluttered her eyelids, smiling ever so gently. She couldn't do it for very long before she started giggling again. She looked at him mischievously, giggling all the while, watching his reaction.
Something like that I'd imagine.
She couldn't help but grin, she was having tremendous fun, but she felt a small pang of guilt. It wasn't nice to toy with the poor guy so. She almost immediately stopped, just looking at him, curling her legs up to her chest, looking at him with her head rested on her thighs, smiling gently.
Sorry about that. Couldn't help myself.
She looked into his eyes, just watching them. She did it often, but his seemed different... She couldn't pinpoint how, but they did...

Verloren just looked at her as she seemed to have her fun, the stuff girls could do, it just made him open his mouth. He didn't really know what to say he was just confused, and honestly his face was getting red again, he looked at her as she giggled, seemed like some kind of trademark a lot of girls shared. V just smiled though, looking away for a moment.
"No harm done, don't worry about that." V kept his smile as he looked at her in the eyes, it seemed more, direct then the other glances they had, something seemed awfully weird about it, he didn't understand what was going on. Something just felt intense for some reason, maybe it was something he ate or maybe he just liked her eyes though there is always a reason to something.
"Hum... huh.. something wrong?" He asked, this was feeling a bit too awkward, he didn't know what was going on much nor if he should look away. Part of him made it seem like if she was absorbed by something, his eyes maybe? He had no idea, he was clueless to most emotions and most reaction that people usually had.

Lyssa smiled again, her head still resting against her knees. Nothing was the matter, and she sighed contentedly. It was a peaceful place, the only other sound to be heard was the lapping of the waves against the sands. Tranquil, but every so often, it would rise, a crescendo of sound, before crashing down, returning to the previous level, reminding her that the sea was indeed a powerful entity. But she did not dwell on this. Merely in passing, did she respect the awesome might of the great blue.
Oh, nothing's the matter. I can't help but look into your eyes. They're sort of captivating, in a very innocent way.
Quite apart from herself most of the time. She was nothing close to innocent. She was a thief after all, she lived by the creed that if it wasn't nailed down, it was for the taking. Certainly made living around her more interesting. If not paranoia inducing. She smiled at him again, stretching her legs out, resting her weight on her hands, cocking her head to the side gently, looking over at him, before giggling as their eyes locked in a stare, or a gaze, she wasn't sure which.
What? You seem a little... Distracted...
She turned her body to face him, before lying down, her front on the sand, propping her head up with her palms, her feet twisting aimlessly in the air behind her, as she grinned aimlessly. There was something very much entertaining about him. An almost compelling urge to just sit and talk with him. Which was odd, considering his obvious uncertainties about the situation. But sometimes, it was the surprises that made the most sense...
