In battle, Vanille's weapon is called the Bind Rod. Its head piece looks like a pair of antlers. Its body consists of four long wires with hooks that deal damage to enemies by latching on and pulling.

Vanille was always a foolish child, always getting into trouble, always pestering others and even fighting others. She grew out of that phase when she turned 9 and her father died, it was the worst birthday she ever had. She seems to have a quite sunny disposition on the outside but inside she is quite different.[/color]
She once worked on a chocobo farm raising yellow chocobos but she never really got accustomed to any of them except one black chocobo that was always kinda shy and quiet.
She is a resident of Mt.Gagazet, along with the Ronso, At one point, she was captured by the Yevonites and seen walking chained in an airship watched over by there high priest. She is among those saved by a group of rebels who are against all things Yevon and is in debt to them.
She has an extreme love for machina and even built herself a battle machine she calls Hecatoncheir. No one but her knows where it is but it is hidden somewhere in Mt. Gagazet.
