Appearance
Nightmare's body is of a seemingly average build, athletic, might be the right word. He's not insanely buff, but he's not all that scrawny either. His body is well toned, and his skin is a surprisingly light color despite the world he lives on. He seems to always have a smirk of some sort while he non chalantly gazes at someone or something with his blue eyes. Atop his head is quite a bit of blond hair. To be blunt, some would classify him as pretty cute.
Though his clothing isn't exactly fitting either. While many are wearing shorts and other sorts of clothing fit for beach weather, Nightmare really isn't. Rather, he prefers to wear a white dress shirt, untucked, with a black jacket covering the shirt, white stripes going down the sleeves. His lower clothing is also odd, being a bit of dark dress pants with dress shoes, he seems completely unfitting in the world of Spira.
Weapons
Silversnake
A 4 foot long... longsword. Silversnake seems to always be on Nightmare, and he's very protective of it. The blade shines and glistens like silver, though despite the name, its actual material seems to be adamant, making it nigh unbreakable. It rests in a sheath, mostly wrapped in leather, however, both ends seem to be made of silver, so it's high class for sure. However, it holds a bit of a secret, when its real power is activated, it becomes...
Magical Weapon: Ragnarok, Twilight of the Gods
This is the real sword that Nightmare wields. When the illusion of Silversnake is cast off, the silver blade is replaced by a highly ornate weapon. The sword has a golden handguard with a cylinder shaped blade, runes glowing as it seems to give off a demonic appearance. Despite the shape, it's very sharp. This weapon is Ragnarok, Twilight of the Gods, a sword that grants incredible power to the wielder. There is a catch to the power, the sword must fully accept the wielder in order to grant all its power. Unfortunately, Nightmare really isn't that far into acceptance, so he just has one ability with Ragnarok.
Magic Catcher
Quite simply put, Ragnarok can catch magic. It can catch any and all magic. Though, there is a catch, as always. Due to it not having fully accepted Nightmare as its wielder, Nightmare can only catch second level spells (along the lines of Fira, Blizzara, etc) without any negative effects. Anything higher, and depending on the spell, it will actually harm Nightmare, causing cuts to form all over his body. The way this works is that when Ragnarok loses the disguise, wind starts to flow in a small area around the sword, the wind is actually sharp enough to cut, thus its melee capacity is enhanced.
When some magic is captured, it swirls along with the wind, trapped in the vortex. Nightmare can do two things with it. He can either keep the magic there, and use it as a melee buff. Here's an example, if someone shoots Nightmare with a fire spell and he catches it, if he chooses to use it as a melee weapon, he essentially gets a free Flametongue.
Of course, if he decides to use it as a long range weapon, he can, simply firing back whatever was thrown at him.
Armour
Magical Armor: Rho Aias
A seven layered shield that Nightmare can use whenever he really needs to. Rho Aias is simply summoned by holding out his hands, and pulling the shield out from his mind. One layer is able to take quite a bit of punishment, but will fall quickly to a Mental Break. Of course, that's just one layer, they'd still have to break through 6 more. That's right. You have to break through this shield

times
However, it only stays up for one turn, and Nightmare is unable to attack whilst it's up. And when it goes down, it's gone for 5 turns. Although, once it does go back up, the opponent will find that all 7 layers are back.
Items
Gold Pocketwatch
It's not much really, just a Gold Pocketwatch that Nightmare carries, though, whether it holds something else, like something magical, he's not exactly sure. Either way, he loves it

Custom Abilities
Phantom Swords
Nightmare is able to conjure up fifteen onyx swords at once. He can use these in several ways. He can use one as a weapon should he be disarmed, use them as a shield, cause them to spin around his body at an extremely quick pace, cutting up anyone who comes within range. Or he can fire them off one by one at his enemy before calling them back, plus many more ways.
Broken Phantasm
A little trick Nightmare managed to invent. To put it simply, Nightmare is able to convert a small amount of magical energy and compress it down into the form of a weapon, usually a spear. Nightmare's powers work in that he has abilities that are useful, but demand very little magical energy, the Rho Aias shield being the most magically demanding thing he has. This means that he has a constant aura of magic about him, and he's turned it into a weapon. With a simple snap of his fingers, he's able to compress a tiny amount into a long, very thin spear that appears just in front of him for but a second. Anyone caught in the range will be pierced. He can spam it this way as he pleases.
Of course, this does have a somewhat demanding side as well. If Nightmare so wishes, he can compress more magical energy into the shape of a projectile and fire it off, should he possess something like a bow, but he can work it like a javelin. When the projectile hits something, it unleashes a large explosion in a 10 ft. radius, which can be devastating to those who wear no armor. However, this is much more demanding than just compressing it into a spear, due to the explosion, and when used, has a cooldown of 3 turns.
Falcon Punch
Nightmare's not exactly sure WHY he has this in the first place, it just seemed like a good idea at the time. Nightmare is able to make a devastating punch, well, sorta devastating. A falcon made of flames will engulf Night's hand, yet it won't burn said hand. Those who take a direct hit will be sent spiralling and have some pretty nasty burns... although oddly enough, rumors have gone around that it has galaxy destroying properties for some reason...
Though, it does have some actual usefulness. If the Falcon Punch is used when the opponent is in the midst of a melee attack, the Falcon Punch will completely overpower the melee attack, rendering Night unharmed, and directly hit the opponent full force with the punch, without fail.
The Falcon Punch has a cooldown of two turns.

History
Night isn't exactly chatty when it comes to his history, it's rather something he likes to avoid, not due to some tragedy that has left him mute, and it's certaintly not amnesia. Truth is, he can remember his history just fine, he just doesn't like to talk about it due to him believing that his history is rather boring. However, he will tell you that the most exciting thing to ever happen to him was to get a hold of Ragnarok, well, if you can find out that he does indeed have the blade. However, even then, he's not exactly open to say just how he got Ragnarok, rather saying that when he did get it, he felt it was his time to explore the world and see exactly what it was. Maybe as time goes on, someone can eventually get the whole story out of him.
(Note: Nightmare's history has been deliberately been left vague as crap so other players can get in and have a part of his history if they so choose, it's been done for complete malleability.)
