Personality
Kadaj is a cruel, dark and vengeful human with a strong lust to end all life. With a heart colder then ice, darker then the night sky and having been spawned out of a life of fury and anger, Kadaj will not hesitate to show off his strength and will cut down anyone or anything stupid enough to stand in his way, whether they be heroes or villains alike. With thanks to his dreadful darkness and anger, Kadaj plans to spread terror and fear throughout the world of Spira!
Being a self-proclaimed Remnant, Kadaj works as an assassin for anyone with enough Gil to hire him. Most of the time though, he works for himself and his own goal of annihilating all life in Spira. Human, Al Bhed, Ronso, Guado... whatever. If you live and breath, then Kadaj will eventually be after you. Though he doesn't bother with the weak, Kadaj kills those who are either political democrats, high and important figures of Yevon or Non Serviam, Summons and Guardians of all kinds and those who might have the strength and stamina to survive one of his furious attacks.
The Remnant can be extremely confident at times, especially when it comes to battle. His ability to wield a sword is almost second to none and as far back as he can remember, he's never lost a single match or failed at assassinating his targets. However, though he believes his meaning of life is to end the life of Spira itself, the young lad always enjoys a friendly match, whether it be one on one, or with the odds severally against him, he'll fight with unmatched bravery, determination and most of all, his ferocity. Kadaj truly feels he becomes 'alive' when he fights and will stop at nothing to see that he walks away victorious. Don't expect him to shake your hand after a match though. The Remnant's speed is greater then his strength.
With confidence, comes stubbornness and Kadaj can be awfully stubborn at times. When he's not working, he won't do anything that anyone asks of him and thanks to this attitude, he has very few friends and companions. One of those friends that he does have though, is a young woman who runs a bar in Luca called Tifa Lockhart. The Remnant visits her occasionally and she's probably the ONLY person in the world that he trusts and will never kill. His stubbornness vanishes whenever the young bar-owner asks him to do something, yet expect the Remnant to complain a little first.

Class Abilities
N/A
Custom Abilities
Heartless Angel - A gift, or perhaps a curse given to the Remnant from Sin himself on the day the monster wiped out Kadaj's home when he were but a child. Not really an attack, but more an ability to transform slightly. All that happens, is that the Remnant of Sin can grow one single black angel wing from his right shoulder blade, giving him increased agility and the ability to fly for short durations. The single wing is a good 8 feet long and curls neatly behind his back when not in use. The Remnant thankfully has the ability to summon and dispel his wing at will, though he MUST have the wing out for him to use all of his attacks below.
Darkness Regeneration and his Teleportation skills, do NOT require the wing to be present.
Cooldown - Passive. Can summon and dispel at will.
Draw Slash - A sword technique that Kadaj taught himself after devoting his life to the Darkness of Spira. Kadaj takes a moment to gather energy into his blade and after a couple of seconds, slashes his blade before him, releasing the energy as a blade of pale blue light that travels at a fast speed ahead for at least 50 yards before disintegrating into nothingness. Anything stupid enough to get hit directly by this is sliced clean in half, including people and structures alike. Glancing blows can still cause serious damage depending where it hits. Best bet to survive this, is to dodge it. The only drawback is the few seconds charge time to gather energy which leaves him open.
Cool down - One post.
Octaslash - Another sword technique learned from studying the Darkness within Spira. Kadaj dashes forwards and attacks the enemy 8 times in a row in an almost instantaneous movement, using his blade to try and slice his opponent into pieces with the final blow throwing out a Darkness aura that can blow an unharmed opponent away. Not as powerful as his Draw Slash, this can easily be blocked by a skilled opponent.
Cool down - Three posts
Flame Pillar - A technique used to either attack or defend. Kadaj raises one palm into the air above his head, and three massive pillars of flame burst up out of the ground from around him, in a triangle formation, scorching whatever gets too close from the intense heat. The pillars are roughly 5 meters across and shoot up into the air about 30 feet. They last for around 5 seconds before disappearing. Kadaj is open for attack for a few seconds after casting this technique.
Cool down - Three posts.
Darkness Regeneration - Thanks to the Darkness flowing through his veins and heart, Kadaj can recover slowly from wounds and fatigue while resting and staying still. Under extreme circumstances, Kadaj can force his Darkness Regeneration skill to work harder but this drains his energy and leaves him very vulnerable to attacks. He very rarely uses this when in combat, as it takes too much strength to keep this skill working efficiently and maintain his side of the fight.
Cool down - Lasts for three posts. Recharges after another five.
Teleportation - A Darkness skill that allows the Remnant to travel instantly to another location within a set distance. So long as he can see where he wants to teleport to, he can do so. The instant he vanishes, a small cluster of black feathers are left in his wake, that fall to the floor and disintegrate upon landing. The same thing happens when he re-appears too. A perfect dodging technique, but it requires a while to recharge before being used again as it'll take up too much strength.
Cool down - One post.
Sin's Comet - An attack that Kadaj taught himself, out of admiration for the unstoppable power of Sin. Kadaj calls down a large Comet from outer space and sends it plummeting straight into the ground, aiming it right for his opponent. The battlefield is bathed in a warm red glow as the huge rock breaks through the atmosphere. Kadaj can alter the size of the Comet depending on how long he spends casting it, though this will obviously leave him wide open for attack.
Cool down - Smallest: five posts. Maximum: One thread.

History
Though Kadaj never talks about his past to anyone, his stories and past actions have been remembered by the Winds of Time.
Kadaj was born into a poor family living out in the outskirts of Kilika. Sure the island was larger then Besaid was, but the town of Kilika itself was mainly a tiny community of people living in wooden houses and shacks upon wooden planks that stretch a short distance across the beach and out into sea. A massive forest took up the rest of the island that housed many fiends and creatures, including the Kilika Temple, a place visited by Summoners on their pilgrimage to defeat Sin. As a baby and growing into a child, Kadaj was kept confined to the town itself and was never allowed to venture out anywhere unless either his mother or father were with him. Life as a child is supposed to be fun and enjoyable, but for Kadaj, it was almost like a living hell. He had always been moody, even as a child, never doing anything his parents told him to and always trying to run away from home.
Then one night, it happened. Sin came and destroyed Kilika, killing pretty much everyone that resided there. Kadaj himself was on the verge of death, clinging weakly to a wooden plank that was slowly starting to carry him out to sea. As the young boy grew nearer to loosing consciousness, the young silver-haired boy caught a glimpse of what raised Kilika to the ground. A massive creature that resided in the ocean. Sin. At first, Kadaj wasn't sure what to do. With his strength leaving him quickly, the young lad felt... amazed, by the power Sin had. His father had told him many tales about this creature while growing up, and they always fascinated him. Too actually SEE the monster of legend... to be this close... to such POWER. Kadaj snapped his eyes open and fought with every last drop of sweat he had to keep himself alive. His eyes never left Sin until it vanished under the waves completely.
"To think... that Summoners... go on Pilgrimages to defeat Sin..."
The young boy said to himself out loud as he weakly started to kick his feet in the water, swimming slowly back to the wrecked shore.
"I won't..."
He felt his strength slowly returning, dispite the wounds scattered around his small body.
"... I won't let... anyone kill... Sin..."
Most people of Spira would be completely terrified of Sin, but Kadaj was amazed. He wished to gain such power that people would fear him instead. It was on that fateful night that the young boy changed forever.
As the years passed, Kadaj grew up into a strong and good looking young man. His body slim but strong. Having to survive of scraps of meat in Kilika, Kadaj taught himself to use a blade and allowed himself to be tainted with Darkness, letting his heart become truly engulfed with the hopes and dreams of gaining a power greater then Sin, to which he'd use to stop anyone and everything from trying to do harm to Sin. He trained tirelessly for hours and hours, for every moment he was awake, always telling himself that he'll be the one responsible for ending all life on Spira. Not Sin. The young lad fell so far into the Darkness, that it could be said he went mad. Sin's toxin? The shock of surviving Sin's attack on Kilika? Whatever it was, it transformed him into a killing machine.
Learning to use a weapon known as a Souba, Kadaj started to work as an 'assassin' of sorts, seeking out Summoners and their Guardians and killing them before they could finish their pilgrimages. His first targets were a man and woman, perhaps husband and wife, upon the snowy peaks of Mount Gagazet. The now self-proclaimed 'Remnant of Sin' ambushed the pair while they were battling fiends and defeated the entire lot with his superior swordsmanship and abilities mastered by the powerful force of Darkness. His heart was darker then the midnight sky now, and whether Sin liked it or not, Kadaj was not going to let anything defeat him. Watching the blood flow from the bodies of the decent, staining the bright white snow a shade of pink that grew darker as seconds passed, Kadaj knew that this was his life meant now. To spread fear and unrest among the civilization of Spira.
It's unknown how many civilians, Summoners, Guardians and Aeons fell to Kadaj's blade since he always attacked from the shadows. Stalking his prey like a hawk would a mouse. However, when the Eternal Calm arrived, that desire to protect Sin was shattered and nothing by unending rage and anger filled his entire soul. He had failed in his mission... before Sin could end all life, it's own life was cut short. It was then that Kadaj fell into exile. His Souba was returned to it's scabbard and wasn't drawn again. Months passed and during this time he met a young girl by the name of Tifa Lockhart. Having spent too much time away from civilization and in the need of some rest, food and drink, Kadaj went and stayed at her Bar in Luca for a while. The two of them got talking and eventually became good friends, yet the silver-haired Remnant never told the bar-owner anything about his dark and evil past. .After months of self appointed exile, Kadaj finally returned to the world as a changed man. The anger and fury had been masked by a cool and calm expression, but the strong desire to being Spira down to it's knees, was too great an ambition to give up. He swore to himself on that very day, that he'd never lay a finger on his one and only friend, Tifa.
