Blank’s Memory: okay, his memory isn’t a physical item, but Zidane returned to that destroyed village to find Blank still petrified in the same spot. On the ground before him was a small trinket, perhaps not even belonging to Blank, but its placement right before him was too perfect that Zidane took it and keeps it on his person at all times.
Other than that he steals most the items he needs as he needs them.

Trance: When Zidane feels a strong surge of emotion he can go into Trance mode. His appearance changes to a resemblance of himself, except his hair goes pink and his body is covered with pink fur. While in Trance mode all his attributes are increased significantly, including strength, endurance and agility. -Free Energy: the blast gets 1.5 times stronger than normal and can gain elemental damage of Zidane’s choice. [Cooldown: 3 posts]
-Shift Break: the attack becomes 2 times stronger, the range increases to one hundred feet around Zidane, and the water blast in the center becoming Free Energy instead of a basic tidal burst. [Cooldown: 3 posts]
-Grand Lethal: the attack becomes Reverse Gaia, a combination attack. Reverse Gaia starts with a flurry of dagger attacks where Zidane’s enhanced speed makes it seem like he’s coming at them from all angles. It ends with a 4 times powered up version of Grand Lethal. [Cooldown: 5 posts]
Tail: Long and covered in golden fur, Zidane’s tail works as another appendage, able to support him from objects and even hold onto objects on its own. It’s only about half as strong as his arms, however it also gives him increased balance and agility. [Passive]
Free Energy: at will, once per post after cooldown, Zidane can release a powerful short-ranged a blast of energy. This energy is non-elemental and doesn’t fall to most conventional immunities or enhancers. This energy affects anything in front of it with concussive force, essentially an explosion. [Cooldown: 2 posts]
Shift Break: at will, once per post after cooldown, Zidane can use this ranged attack. Anywhere within fifty feet of himself Zidane is able to call down a lightning barrier around the victim and then summon up a burst of water. This burst is so fierce it can cause damage while sending the victim into the air. The lightning barrier itself is only about four feet high, giving room for an agile opponent to dodge over or under. [Cooldown: 2 posts]
Grand Lethal: at will, once per post after cooldown, Zidane is able to charge up energy and lunge at an opponent, using the energy to propel himself in a twisting motion, like a drill. His daggers lead the way, enhanced by the magical energy. On contact with the opponent the energy is released in a similar way to Free Energy. Zidane then kicks off of the enemy using the remaining energy to propel himself back to a safe distance and cause a second, weaker attack. [Cooldown: 2 posts]

Zidane was found at the age of four by a man named Baku. Baku raised Zidane as a son from the day he found him, getting him to help out with the theatre group front Baku’s band of thieves ran, Tantalus Theatre Troupe. Zidane was raised by the people of Tantalus, many of them becoming brothers to him. When he was old enough he tried to remember back to before he was found, but despite all his attempts all he could remember was a blue light.
Tantalus Theatre Troupe travelled Spira on their boat. Led by Baku, the thieves involved, Blank, Cinna, Marcus and Ruby, along with Zidane, came to the various towns performing plays and giving shows to entertain the masses. While under this disguise they stole things from these villages, usually pulling a Robin Hood and stealing from the rich, who wouldn’t miss things. They also only stole what they needed to support themselves.
Then one day disaster struck. Tantalus was performing in a town when suddenly, out of nowhere, Sin attacked the town. Their show, being performed from their boat, drew a crowd to watch at the waterfront, leaving the entire town vulnerable to Sin’s attack. The showboat was overturned and crashed into the shore while Sin destroyed it. A few members of Tantalus managed to escape with a few of the villagers. As they were escaping fiends attacked, making the situation even worst. In a successful attempt to save the rest of them, Blank stayed behind to distract the fiends. Zidane was forced to watch, fleeing, as one of them petrified his childhood best friend.
Since then Zidane has been wandering Spira, helping people where he can. It was the act of his best friend that saved him and those villagers, and he feels a need to continue on Blank’s legacy and help whomever he can, for no better reason than that he can help.
